Barbering Banter Beats
I collected a wide range of images relating to Shambarber off the Facebook page, this was to gain a feel for the style and colours required for the website.
Next I created a moodboard in Photoshop and started playing around with different colours and font styles based on the images I gathered.
I was able to decide on the main and secondary colours for the website from my moodboard. I also opted for Helvetica as the main font style and decided at this point that the main page headings would be in uppercase throughout the website.
Next I began to look at the layout required for the Shambarber website, taking into consideration the flexible grid system.
The responsive layout of the Shambarber website would adapt to suit the device it's being viewed on so I also had to consider the position of the page widgets and menus.
I created a vector version of the Shambarber logo in Illustrator and also replicated the Shambarber shield for use throughout the site.
I decided the logo would be a focal point of the website by becoming the main image displaying a few of the images I had gathered within the lettering. The video above shows the process I went through to create create the final logo design in Photoshop.
Once I finalised the design and layout I was then able to start developing the Shambarber website within Wordpress.
